Vaibhav Pratap Singh is a seasoned professional with rich and diverse experience in sustainable financing, financial solution design, electric mobility, financial analysis, and policy, process grading. Currently serving as a senior analyst at the Council on Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW), Vaibhav is working with the Center for Energy Finance to design and develop long-term sustainable solutions and thought leadership pieces to drive the uptake of sustainable solutions. He is also responsible for bridging the existing information asymmetry in the market by providing short analytical pieces. Prior to joining CEEW, Vaibhav worked as an analyst at Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), where he provided analysis for the development of financial instruments and business model design under the India Innovation Lab for Green Finance. He also supported the US-India Clean Energy Finance initiative, which drove access to finance for the distributed solar power sector. Before that, Vaibhav worked with the analytics team at Credit Analysis & Research Ltd., where he evaluated the debt obliging capability of the firm based on various risks related to finance, business, industry, proposed capex, etc. He also carried out an in-depth analysis of the business to come up with a suggestive rating for the rating committee and evaluated the processes and policies of micro-finance institutions to come up with the suggestive grading. Vaibhav has a PGDM degree in Finance and Supply Chain Management from Delhi School of Business, an executive program in International Business and Trade from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Babu Banarasi Das University. He has 9.52 years of relevant experience and specializes in research, financial solution design and structuring, financial analysis, electric mobility, business model design, credit underwriting, corporate rating, and corporate process grading exercise. Vaibhav is a research scientist and is passionate about energy transition and climate finance.
